If the newest rumors are true, gamers might be able to pre-order the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V this week. The PC game, however, has still not been announced by Rockstar Games.

According to European gaming website Gamereactor, Grand Theft Auto V PC will be available for pre-order starting this Friday. The website cites Elgiganten, a Nordic retailer owned by Dixons Retail UK, as its source. A manager from one Elgiganten store reportedly "confirmed" the news.

Baird Equity Research also believes that Grand Theft Auto PC is coming soon.

"We expect product announcements over the next year such as extending GTA V to other platforms (e.g., PC, next-gen consoles), the next Red Dead, etc., to help improve revenue and earnings visibility," Colin Sebastian, a Baird Equity Research analyst, told VG247. "In addition, the company has significant potential to grow digital/online revenues, which should help improve gross margins and add visibility to growth."

The research firm analyst cites the listing of the PC game on Amazon.com as evidence of the game's release. He predicted that developers Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive will release the game this year.

"While a PC version would not be a big surprise, this indirect confirmation [the Amazon posting] of the game helps to provide some added visibility to consensus F2015 (Mar) estimates," Sebastian added.

Last week, Amazon France posted a listing for Grand Theft Auto V PC on its website. Hours later, the listing was taken down, WCCF Tech reported. This heightened rumors that the game is under development, as some speculate that the listing was removed because developers threatened legal action as the game has not been announced.

This theory becomes questionable, however, when considering that Grand Theft Auto V PC is still listed on Amazon Germany. The site says the game is compatible with Windows 7 and Windows Vista but does not list minimum system requirements. Amazon Germany prices the game at 60 euros.

Earlier this week, a GTA Forum member claimed to reveal plans for Grand Theft Auto V PC's gameplay.

"PC Version of GTA Online will support 32 max players," the user said on GTA Forums.
