In line with the release of the much anticipated "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" later this year, Treyarch has revealed more details of the game for PC.

The California-based video game developer spoke more about what fans can expect from the PC version of "Black Ops 3" at Gamescom 2015 on Thursday.

Their official blog site mentioned the following new features:

  • 100% ranked dedicated servers
  • 2-Player split-screen
  • Game controller support
  • GPU scaling, SLI and crossfire optimizations, and 4K monitor support
  • FOV slider
  • Framerate cap slider
  • Improved text Chat features available in-game and also now in lobbies.
  • Steam trading cards
  • Treyarch Anti-Cheat (TAC)

As stated above, "Black Ops 3" will have a field-of-view slider. This allows players to have a better grasp of the CoD surroundings. That is understandable considering that the game will now support 4K-resolution monitors.

Changes have also been made with regards to competitive play, one of which includes banning of particular weapons and items before the start of the match.

Aside from the ban feature, there is also the new specialist draft for tournaments and Arenas. In the new draft system, players can choose any specialist regardless of duplicates in the player's team or in the opponent's team. In eSports, only one player in a team can use a specialist's weapon or power.

"So, to be clear, you can draft a Seraph with the Annihilator pistol and another Seraph with her Combat Focus ability, but you can't have two Seraphs, both with Annihilators," IGN reported.

In-game communication has always been a key  element during multiplayer mode. Hence, Treyarch has promised an improved text-chat interface in the upcoming game.

Treyarch has already announced the game's minimum PC requirements last April. They seem to be slowly pacing their fans in preparation for "Black Ops 3".

Game Spot cited these minimum requirements:
