Lifetime's hit television series "Dance Moms" might be due for a major change next season. Speculation of Abby Lee Miller's departure continues to surround the reality star, especially after the dramatic season finale had her storming out of the competition.

In a preview for the upcoming reunion special, Miller fuelled the rumors of her exit saying, "That's where this journey ends for me and a new journey begins."

The coach also added that it's good to leave while one is on top.

Miller's departure from "Dance Moms" has been discussed for months, sparked by an interview with "Entertainment Tonight" in early June that had her talking about some drama behind the scenes leading to "a lot of missing Abby" for the yet-to-be-aired episodes of season five. She also revealed financial conflict could play a part in her decision to move on from the station.

"Lifetime is a little in arrears on their payment plan with me personally," Miller shared in the interview. "And so I think that will have to be taken care of first before we talk about season six."

On the other side of the coin, a tweet by "Dance Moms" executive producer Bryan Stintson seemed to point to the outspoken star coming back for the next season. A poster calling out for dancers and moms included the text "Producers are looking for dancers who feel they have what it takes to train and compete under the direction of Abby Lee Miller."

However, Miller is not the only cast member who is hinting to leave the hit television show. According to MTV Australia, Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC) dancer Maddie Ziegler is also considering declining to be a part of season six possibly to pursue an acting career. The twelve-year-old has already gained attention outside "Dance Moms" as part of Sia's music videos "Chandelier" and "Elastic Heart."

Ziegler's former rival and "Dance Moms" alum Chloe Lukasiak spoke out regarding her own decision to leave the show after season four in an interview with OK Magazine.

"I did like dancing and it was an amazing opportunity to be able to dance on television and travel around the world with my best friends," she explained. "We stayed until the time was right and I think when we left it was the time to go. I think we stayed the right amount."

Although Lukasiak said the two have lost touch due to their respective careers and travel schedule, the dancer is up against Ziegler once again for the title of Choice Dancer at the Teen Choice Awards.

"I've always competed against her my whole life," she said. "She was probably my biggest rival in the competition world."
