LG has finally announced its latest smartphone, the highly anticipated and highly leaked LG G Pro 2.

SPECS

According to LG, the LG G Pro 2 comes equipped with Android 4.4 KitKat software and runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 2.26 GHz processor. The 4G quad-core phone also has 3GB of memory and a microSD slot. The phone weighs just 172 grams and has 157.9 x 81.9 x 8.3 mm dimensions. It is available in white, silver and titan.

SCREEN

The phone follows today's smartphone trend of increasingly large display screens. It boasts a 5.9-inch screen with full HD IPS1920 x 1080 display. The G Pro 2 keeps a slim shape with a small 3.3-mm bezel.

CAMERA

The LG G Pro 2 has a 13 megapixel camera with optical image stabilization.

"What's more, the sensors and lens of the rear and front camera on the G Pro 2 have increased in both size and sensitivity, for images that rival many standalone point-and-shoot cameras," LG said.

The camera also includes a variety of features targeted toward social media users including flash for selfie, gallery collage, HD video recording and slow-motion editing, 4K Ultra HD recording, natural flash and burst shot.

MORE FEATURES

LG also promotes the G Pro 2's "Knock Code." The feature allows users to unlock their phone by tapping different "knock" combos. According to LG, there are 86,367 different combinations.

"Knock Code is an example of LG bringing simpler, more convenient solutions to consumers' mobile lives," Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, said. "Whereas in the early years of smartphones it was a contest to see how many features could be stuffed into the phones, our researchers took a long, hard look at how consumers were really using their devices in their daily lives and included just the most useful UX features. We think customers will agree."

Other features include the phone's Content Lock, which secures phone documents with a password, Mini View, which shrink's the phones display for one-handed use, and Dual Browser, which lets users browse two different websites at the same time.

LG has yet to determine which countries the LG G Pro 2 will be available in besides South Korea.
