Microsoft will be releasing two new flagship smartphones later this year, as previously reported. Since then, further details of the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL have cropped up online.

Now, a recent social media post from a notorious tech leaker has showed off the upcoming smartphones in all their glory. The two new devices, which were also referred to as the Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL, will be sporting the monikers "Talkman" and "Cityman," respectively.

Whatever their generic names will end up being, the "Talkman" and "Cityman" were shown in three different angles courtesy of Evan Blass aka @evleaks. A live snapshot of the "Cityman" was also seen plugged in to what might just be Continuum docking station. This particular feature lets users stream videos from their handsets' screen to their PC monitors.

As big of a reveal as the tweet was, it did not include an updated specs sheet of the two devices.

Where they currently stand, both devices will allegedly have a built-in Windows 10 operating system, making them the first pair of smartphones to run Microsoft's latest OS. Both will have a matte polycarbonate cover, which could either be black or white, and will also be equipped with an Iris scanner for Windows Hello, Neuro Gadget pointed out.

Individually, the "Talkman" (Lumia 950) will feature the following:

  •  5.5-inch WQHD 1440 x 2560p OLED display
  •  64-bit Hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor
  •  3 GB of RAM
  •  32 GB built-in storage with microSD expansion
  •  3000 mAh battery
  •  20 MP Pure View main camera
  •  5MP wide-angle selfie shooter

Meanwhile, the "Cityman" (Lumia 950 XL) will contain these specs:

  •  7-inch WQHD 1440×2560p OLED display
  •  64-bit Octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor
  •  3 GB of RAM
  •  32 GB built-in storage with microSD expansion
  •  20 MP Pure View main camera with triple LED flash feature
  •  5MP wide-angle selfie shooter

The two new Lumias will be unveiled at a press event in New York on October 19. They will be joined by the Surface Pro 4 and Microsoft's Band 2, Nokia Power User earlier wrote.

The handsets will then be released shortly after the event. The "Talkman" (Lumia 950) is to cost fans $600 while the bigger "Cityman" (Lumia 950 XL) will hover around $649.

Fans might want to wait a little bit further before saving up for the two new Lumias, though, as Microsoft has yet to officially confirm the recent reports.
