Motorola previously took to Twitter last Aug. 12 to confirm that the new Moto X Pure Edition will be available in the U.S. on Sept. 3. However, the Illinois-based mobile company was quick to erase the said tweet, but not before an equally swift observer snapped a screenshot of it.

Since then, there were doubts as to whether the handset will be launched in early September or at a much later date.

Recently, Motorola announced on Twitter that preorders of the Moto X Pure Edition will commence "tomorrow," which means today, Sept. 2. For the record, the tweet has not been taken down.

This indicates that the handset might just have an early September launching after all. Even though It will only be for U.S. consumers, folks from other parts of the globe can purchase the exact same product as the Moto X Style.

In its unlocked form, the Pure Edition will cost around $399.99 and will be exclusively sold online through the "Moto Maker" service. However, the company plans to sell the Pure Edition with retail partners such as Amazon and Best Buy.

"Moto Maker" will allow would-be buyers to customize the handset during the ordering process. Although, adding non-standard options would increase the price of the customized device.

The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop handset will feature Nano-SIM support and a 3,000 mAh battery, as stated on Motorola's official website.

Other specs include a 5.7-inch QHD display, 21-megapixel rear camera with 1080p HD video (60 fps) capacity and dual-LED flash, five-megapixel selfie shooter with a LED flash of its own as well as Qualcomm's 1.8GHz hexa-core Snapdragon 808 SoC. The device will boast 3 GB of RAM and will come with 16, 32, 64 GB internal memory variants with expandable storage of up to 128 GB.

Lastly, the new Moto X Pure Edition will include "Turbo Charging" capabilities, micro-SD support and front-facing stereo speakers. Motorola's forthcoming U.S. exclusive handset will be the third offering in the Moto X series.

The Verge previously reported that the third generation Moto X will support any of the four big U.S. mobile carriers and will be shipped free of unwanted and excess software from carriers.

Aside from that, Motorola prided that their phones are prioritized whenever new Android OS updates arrive.

As for the Moto X Style, mobile dealer Clove UK is now taking orders for the handset in black and white variants. The Moto X Style is rumored to arrive in the U.K. on Sept. 21, Android Authority reported.
