There have been leaks and rumors surrounding the Nexus 5 2015, or the second gen Nexus 5, for months. Now it all seems to be confirmed with one image, first dug up by AndroidPit, which seems to be an official Google press image of the device we've seen in leaks before.

The LG-made Nexus 5 2015 still does not yet have confirmed specs, though previous rumors peg it with a 5.2-inch Full HD screen, running a Snapdragon 808 with 3GB of RAM.

It will definitely come with the latest OS from Google, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, when its unveiled and possibly released, likely at a Google event on Sept. 29.

It's also likely to be the first Google-made Android smartphone with the new USB Type-C connector, so say goodbye to all your built-up charging cords. Speaking of charging, the device is rumored to have a 2,700 mAh battery as well.

The photo revealed by AndroidPit shows a device with a soft, broad white back with a pronounced camera lens - no word yet if LG is going with anything other than the Nexus 6's 21-megapixel shooter - and a similarly-sized ring underneath. This is almost certainly the rumored fingerprint scanner, placed in a similar location as the Nexus 6's "Motorola" dimple for easy, secure unlocking.

The press image-like pic is a spot-on lookalike to a "caught in the wild" photo previously leaked on Weibo, which included a manufacturing sticker bearing the LG logo.

So we're starting to get a very clear, and multiply-sourced and confirmed, picture (excuse the pun) of what the LG Nexus 5 second generation will be. But there's still another Nexus device rumored to be coming this fall, the so-called "Angler" Nexus from Huawei, which has avoided as many leaks by avid technophiles.

Will it be available in the U.S.? Does it actually exist at all? Stay tuned as we get closer to the end of September for all the details.
