Next Wednesday, Apple CEO Tim Cook will take to the stage to introduce a new set of iPhones, believed to be called the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. But there's more coming from Apple that you'll want to stay tuned for.

First, let's go over what's expected of the new iPhone 6s / Plus unveiling and eventual release date, which will all get in motion this upcoming Wednesday.

iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus

Nearly a year's worth of iPhone 6S / Plus rumors have given the technology blogosphere a pretty good idea of what's coming down the pipe from Apple this year -- though surprises are always possible (and welcome).

According to the latest TechCrunch report, you should expect two models along the lines of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus: One will be a medium but larger-than-4-inches device, while the "Plus" model will shoot for nearly 6 inches of screen room.

It's unlikely that this year's iPhones will be radically different, since this is what Apple watchers call a "tock year" in the company's tick-tock two-year cycle of innovation: "Tock year" iPhones improve on the previous model, like with the addition of ForceTouch, but most don't expect anything as radically different as last year's launch.

That means a similar body design with rounded edges and metal and glass construction, with the possibility that the iPhones won't be quite so thin (or will be made with Apple Watch's stronger "Series 7000" aluminum) so as to avoid anymore "bendgate" drama.

Expect the processor to be faster, along with (finally) 2GB of RAM included. The camera is due for a big upgrade, and a 12-megapixel main shooter is expected in the new iPhone 6s.

New Apple TV

What might steal the show away from the iPhone at its own event is the Apple TV, which has been a long time coming, but looks to be finally arriving in a more powerful, updated form.

It may also be much, much more expensive. As Latin Post previously reported, rumors are that the new Apple TV will be priced anywhere from $150 to $200, after the old models were knocked down from $99 to about $70 earlier this year.

It had better be worth the price. But if half of the rumors are accurate, it will be. Possibilities include a new, much better Apple TV Remote, Bluetooth connectivity, an emphasis on gaming, new Siri functionality, a stand-alone app store, the beginnings of a real IoT "home-hub," and even an OTT streaming service being launched alongside.

New iPads?

People have been talking about an iPad model that doesn't exist, the large-screened "iPad Pro," for longer than Huawei has been a major smartphone manufacturer.

But something like a 12.9-inch iPad Pro is inevitable, according to Forbes, which mused that iPad updates are bound to be coming, since the iPad Mini wasn't updated last year and the only recent addition to the iPad lineup was the "iPad Air."

Still, an iPad Pro would be quite a surprise, since there hasn't been any uptick in rumor reports and leaks regarding it (other than the normal background noise of rumor mongering and wish-fulfillment).

Maybe look for an iPad Pro next year, but there's more than a possibility of a minor update to the mini lineup come Wednesday.

What do you think? Does Apple seem to have a lot to show off this September, or will it be a quieter fall technology season (even if it's likely to be just as profitable for the company, if not more so)?
