The "Star Wars: Battlefront" video game is nearing its opening and Electronics Arts has one more thing to offer its fans, a new game mode called the "Drop Zone."

According to Gamezone, the "action filled-tactical mode" will not only encourage the player to keep an eye on his or her surroundings but rather the skies where most of the enemies will interfere.

In the "Drop Zone" mode of the "Star Wars: Battlefront," pods are deployed from above wherein they will invade the place. The player's role is to contain the pods in order to prevent them from spreading. Any interference that allows the pods to change position will mean another pod coming down, twice the number of what has not been contained.

In order to win the game, the team must be able to contain and secure at least five pods with the time allotted for the match which runs for 10 minutes. According to Dennis Brannvall, lead level designer of the "Star Wars: Battlefront," the idea behind the gameplay is to promote a fast and action-packed game mode that will keep the player's stamina while conquering the challenges.

Citing his own personal favorite map of the game, he mentioned the "Swamp Crash Site on Endor" where challenges are unending and enemies are all over the place. It also features two significant tricky points, but other than that, it's all action playing through the challenges.

In a more detailed information by the "Star Wars: Battlefront" website, the captured pods by the team are not regular pods that crowds the place; instead, they contain specific bonus to the player if they wait long enough for the pod to open. While doing so, they must be also on guard for possible enemies.

If you're wondering how to smoothly conquer the place, EA also revealed that players can use the Droids and Turrets in order to defend the place. When a player deploys a Turret, he must also inform his teammates that he'll cover the zone. The Viper Droid, which can also be taken from the arsenal, is used to determine the whereabouts of the enemies and pods.

The "Drop Zone" will occur in several parts of the game such as the Tatooine, Endor, Sullust and Hoth. Each of them offers different stages of Drop Zone as well as the gaming experience that is carefully designed for each match.

"Star Wars: Battlefront" will launch on Nov. 17 and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
