If the recent rumors are true, then Mel Gibson may become a dad for the ninth time. The actor's 24-year-old girlfriend, Rosalind Ross, is reportedly expecting her first child with Mel.

A source revealed to New Idea magazine (via Life & Style), that Ross may be pregnant because she stopped drinking anything alcoholic that could harm the baby. The source claimed the equestrian "suddenly gave up drinking about a month ago."

"While she won't admit she's pregnant, she's not denying it either. [Rosey's] always said that she wanted to be a young mom and have three or four children," the source revealed to New Idea magazine in its Sept 21 issue.

However, Daily Mail claims Gibson's representatives are denying the pregnancy rumors. However, no other supporting statements from the rep were provided by the site to back up the denial.

While this could be their first child together, it would be Mel's ninth. The 59-year-old "Braveheart" star already has seven children from his ex-wife Robyn. According to Daily Mail, he has one daughter, Hannah, and twins Edward and Christian. He also has four other sons with Robyn namely, William, Louis, Thomas and Milo. Thomas was only 10 when the couple split in 2006 and officially divorced in 2011.

After his relationship with Robyn, he dated Russian pianist Oksana Grigorieva, and they had a daughter together, Lucia, in 2009. Mel and Oksana reportedly called it quits a year later.

Mel and Rosalind are reportedly currently in Sydney together for the actor's World War II epic film, "Hacksaw Ridge." It's believed the couple arrived in Sydney a few months ago, where filming for the said movie will officially start in October.

The couple recently made headlines after Mel was accused by The Daily Telegraph photographer Kristi Miller of verbally and physically assaulting her in public. Miller recalled the incident during the screening of "Far From Men" at Palace Verona Cinema late in August and told The Daily Telegraph that she was pushed from behind after she'd taken pictures of the couple together. Mel reportedly also called her "a dog" and told her she will go to hell.

However, Mel's publicist, Alan Nierob, has since denied the allegations and told The Guardian Australia that there is no truth to Miller's accusations.

"There was never any physical contact whatsoever and the story being told by her is a complete fabrication of the truth," Nierob said and did not comment on the verbal assault charges.
