Samsung revealed the Galaxy S5, the company's newest flagship smartphone, on Monday morning at a press conference at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Compared to the Galaxy S4, the new phone features a sharp and bright 5.1-inch screen, a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, and a 16-megapixel camera. The device is also waterproof and comes with a new fingerprint scanner similar to the iPhone 5S. Samsung also gave the S5 a heart rate monitor that is built into the camera's flash. The phone comes in four colors: black, white, blue, and gold.

The Galaxy S5's two main competitors are LG's newly announced G Pro 2 and the iPhone 5S.
