The demo release is coming this weekend for the recently released video game Call of Duty: Ghosts, part of a franchise that has seen several other Call of Duty released in the past few years. The original game was released to players on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Wii and Wii U, and is also available to be played by Microsoft Windows PC users.

This weekend, however, there will be a release of a free demo of the game to all Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners. The demo will be available to gamers for play on Xbox Live, the online gaming mode for Xbox. The demo will be open to players starting on March 7, 2014 at 1 p.m. EST and will be available until the Monday after the weekend, March 10, although there is no official time on when it will end.

Gameplay

The Xbox Live online version of the gameplay will be releasing three maps to the players who log in to play online this weekend. Players will be able to play with people from all over the world. The maps that will be released are called Prison Break, Strikezone, and Warhawk. The maps will be available for gameplay in different modes: Domination, Team Deathmatch, and Search and Rescue. The new Extinction gameplay mode released with the new Ghosts game this last year will also be available to players on the starting map for the Extinction mode, Point of Contact.

Activision has taken a large part in the release of this free demo, which is something that they have not really done before for any consoles. For any Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners who have not purchased the game yet, this weekend will be their chance to try the game out and decide if it is worth the buy.
