Caitlyn Jenner has avoided being charged with vehicular manslaughter stemming from a fatal car crash that occurred earlier this year.

The reality television star had been awaiting the decision from the Los Angeles District Attorney office's on whether charges would be filed involving the Malibu car crash that left one person dead, according to Variety.

Details of the investigation indicate that Jenner was driving "slightly below posted speed limit and minimally slower than victim," and maintained she pushed down on the brakes between 1.9 and 1.5 seconds before the collision. Due to these facts, Jenner's conduct in the whole situation was proven not to be "unreasonable," and the case was dropped, according to the DA's report.

The disastrous car crash happened on the Pacific Coast Highway on Feb. 7. It had originally been reported that Jenner was driving at an unsafe speed, especially due to the road conditions at the time.

Kim Howe, who died in the crash, was driving a Lexus that rear-ended a Toyota Prius driven by Jessica Steindorff. This incident caused Jenner to rear-end Howe's car and push it into oncoming traffic, where Howe was hit head-on by a Hummer, according to authorities.

"My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident," Jenner said in a statement a day after the accident. "It is a devastating tragedy, and I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. I am praying for them. I will continue to cooperate in every way possible."

The families of Steindorff and Howe both sued Jenner, claiming negligence.

Jenner recently wrapped up the first season on her E! docuseries "I Am Cait." The show, which detailed her transition as transgender in the public eye, aired its first episode on July 26, 2015.
