Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is "eager to face" the Seattle Seahawks and he does not even care if the Seattle's 12th man or the Hawks' fans are there in full support for their team on Oct. 18 at the CenturyLink Field in Washington.

Cam Newton, whose team boasts a 4-0 win-loss clean record, is motivated to meet again the dominant defensive force of Seattle's pride, the same team that gave him a 0-4 record these past meetings, Charlotte Observer noted. Newton remains confident by not being overwhelmed by Hawks' reputation in the NFC and is just focusing on what the present brings.

"They're a pretty good team. They've been extremely successful in the postseason these past couple of years, but yet those are old statistics. I'm eager to face them on Sunday. The stats say one thing, but those are old things that I refuse to dwell on," the quarterback who hails from Georgia said.

The Panthers' ball passer, who just secured a five-year extension contract worth $103.8 million in June, per an ESPN report while citing a source, is not even troubled that he will be meeting the Hawks on the CenturyLink Field, the opposing team's territory. Newton does not even care even if Seattle's thousands of fans will be cheering with their hearts out, as they seemed not that loud enough to distract him, Charlotte Observer reported.

"I can't say this stadium is the loudest that we've ever heard before because we've played in some loud places. I'm not trying to disrespect them, nor disrespect any other place because loud is loud," the 26-year-old NFL athlete said.

Did Newton just challenge Seattle's 12th Man to proclaim their unwavering support to their team even more?

Seattle's standing

Yet, with or without Newton's comments, Seattle who reigned supreme in the NFC for two consecutive seasons and even captured the Super Bowl title in the 2013-2014 season, should show their fans that they could rise from their current 2-3 standing. Right now in the NFC West Team, they are behind the Arizona Cardinals (4-1) and tied with the St. Louis Rams, with the San Francisco 49ers at the last spot (1-4), per NFL.com.

For Seattle's 12th Man, who were regarded as "the best fans in the league" and even "some of the most loyal" ones, per the Seattle's site, it wouldn't hurt to prove to Newton that their stadium can get even louder, especially because the Hawks may truly need a morale boost to improve their standing.
