It is do or die for Arsenal in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The Gunners were picked to finish second in the Champions League group behind Bayern Munich. Now the team looks like it might not even finish third in the group.

Arsenal's first game against Dinamo Zagreb was supposed to be an easy three points. The Croatian side was not fancied to do much and its history in the tournament was not particularly complimentary.

Instead Arsenal fell 2-1.

But that could fixed with a win over Olympiakos at home.

It was not meant to be. A loss, thanks in part to a major mishap by David Ospina left Arsenal in a predicament -- two straight games against Bayern Munich and nothing to show for it.

Munich, meanwhile, cruised past Zagreb and Olympiakos by an aggregate score of 8-0. Moreover, this team is on fire, looking more dangerous than any other team in the world. Robert Lewandowski in particular has been spectacular with three goals in the most recent game against Zagreb.

The problem for Arsenal is as follows: lost both games against Munich and the team is all but finished with only six points on the table. Meanwhile, Zagreb or Olympiakos could split the two games and only need one point from Arsenal to eliminate the team altogether.

It is a nightmare scenario for a team that has faced Munich in two of the last three UCL tournaments. Two years ago, Munich defeated Arsenal 2-0 in the Emirates before the teams battled to a draw. A year earlier it was 3-1 win in England for Munich and a 2-0 win for Arsenal in Munich; however Arsenal was eliminated due to goal differentials.

Arsenal needs to get points out of both games, preferably wins. The likelihood is minimal but even a few draws would be huge at this point in time.

The game starts at 2:45 p.m. EDT on Tuesday.

Will Arsenal make its big comeback?
