"The Phenomenal" A.J. Styles is the best wrestler to have not signed with the WWE since Sting. He left TNA Wrestling after 11 years in 2013, per PW Torch, and now working the independent circuit, including Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

He recently went on The Taz Show: Bodyslams & Beyond, where he discussed a variety of topics including the possibility of Styles signing with WWE to work in NXT and who he would like to work with that he never had the opportunity to wrestle before in his career.

If He is Interested in Signing with WWE/NXT

"At this point in my career, I'm going to go do what's best for my family and I want to do what's best to provide for them. So, the business that we're in, if the business could be better somewhere else, then that's where I'm going to go. That's what I'm going to do. So, like I said, it's a business plan. Wherever the plan takes me, that's where I'll go," Styles said as quoted by Wrestling Inc.

The former TNA Superstar seems to be interested in joining NXT but also reveals that he's happy where he is right now. According to The Wrestling Observer via Wrestling News, Styles is currently making more money in the indies and NJPW than TNA's previous offer.

In a report by The Wrestling Observer via The Inquisitr last May, WWE was interested in bringing AJ Styles to the company but he was tied down with a contract with NJPW as the new face for the Bullet Club faction, replacing Prince Devitt aka Finn Balor, who left Japan for NXT.

The Wrestler He Would Like to Face that He has Never Wrestled Before

"I'd like to wrestle Rey, Rey Mysterio, before he retires. I think we could have a pretty cool match and it would be a pretty big match, the two of us, so I'd probably get that done. I would imagine you would have to come off the hip with some money for Rey, but it would be fun. It depends where we do it," the 38-year-old said.

The only problem for the two wrestling legends is that Styles works for NJPW, who has a deal with CMLL and is a rival promotion of AAA in Mexico, where Mysterio currently works with. The solution would be some other wrestling promotion would book them together for a match, per Wrestling Inc.
