"Hot & Bothered" actress Eva Longoria may be the buyer of the Hollywood Hills house of the "Mission: Impossible" star Tom Cruise.

Longoria, who also appeared on "Desperate Housewives" and "The Young and the Restless" is rumored to have paid $11.4 million for the Los Angeles compound, Variety reported.

The former residence of the Hollywood A-lister famed for "Top Gun" and "Jack Reacher" was actually listed for $13 million at the beginning of this year, Los Angeles Times noted. This means, if Longoria actually bought the home, she was able to ask a whopping $1.6 million discount from the 53-year-old "Risky Business" star. However, Cruise is still the real winner in the deal as he reportedly only paid $1.8 million for it 10 years ago, or even less than one-sixth of its selling price, according to property records.

The Los Angeles Times noted that Michael Eisenberg of Keller Williams represented Cruise in the deal as his listing agent while Jan Horn of Pacific Sotheby's International Realty represented the buyer of the Hollywood Hills West estate.

If Longoria now owns the European-themed home, she will be in for a treat. Images of the abode featured on Curbed L.A. reveal wide and tall windows, wooden floors, sleek lines and a bright and airy ambiance. The chic actress will also be greeted with spectacular city views every morning or even at night when the city lights appear like thousands of sparkling stars from a distance.

The expansive property features a main house with three bedrooms, private bathrooms and a modern kitchen. Aside from the main house, there is also a guest house that displays four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a kitchen.

Other amenities include a cellar and a wine tasting room.

Outdoors, a patio and a swimming pool with waterfalls and spa complete the 2.5 acres of California lot.

Embracing her roots

Part of Longoria's longevity in the entertainment business is knowing to always look back at her roots, Marie Clare noted, citing the actress's recent interview. Thus, she does not lose herself and get drunk of success in her chosen career, making her a great role model not just for Latinas, but for all women, too.

"I come from an extremely close family with strong female role models including my mother, who managed to have a full-time job and still have dinner on the table every evening. My mother is a huge reason I've grown into the woman I am today. Also, having a sister born with a mental disability really put things into perspective for me and my family. Liza inspired me to start a charity for other kids like her who have special needs," Longoria said.
