"Detective McLean: Ties That Bind" actor Luke Perry sells his Hancock Park home for more than its tag price.

Perry, who rose to fame as Dylan McKay on "Beverly Hills, 90210," has unloaded his California property for nearly $2.95 million, Los Angeles Times reported. The 49-year-old actor has meant to sell it for a little below $2.9 million. Still, an almost $50,000 difference matters a lot, doesn't it? Yet, the actor just bought it for $967,500 in 1998, noted The Times. Thus, he just made a whopping $2 million profit from its sale.

The abode, which Perry offered in September, found a buyer within two months. Perry commissioned real estate agent, Leegie Parker of Gilleran Griffin Company, to handle its listing, while Jackie Smith of The Agency, transacted with the seller on behalf of the buyer.

The 4,062-square-foot residence displays five bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The living areas included in the celebrity home are a grand foyer, an elegant living room, a dining room, a classic-looking library, a modern kitchen with a dining area, a powder room and some balconies.

Notable details highlight the Mediterranean-inspired house like a captivating curving staircase, French doors and fireplaces, formal-themed spaces and use of mahogany in the study area.

The charm of the house, built in the 1930s, also extends also outdoors. The grounds have a garage that can fit three vehicles and a meticulously maintained lawn. A big swimming pool completes the landscaping of the one-third California acre estate.

Moving forward from the 1990's series

When the actor was asked at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour if he would watch Lifetime's "The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story," his answer was a resounding "no," The Hollywood Reporter noted.

"I don't even watch my own actual self on TV. Why would I watch [this]? No, I don't see it happening," Perry said.

It appears he had moved on from living the Dylan McKay-induced fame. He already distance himself from questions pertaining to his old hit Fox series and about Lifetime's. "It's just not relevant to anything that I'm doing. Next question," he said.

A description of the Lifetime series on the website reads:

"'The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story' reveals the roller coaster ride behind the show's first four seasons, highlighting the drama between cast members and producers both on and off-set as they journeyed together from near-cancellation to unparalleled fame and success."

It aired on Oct. 3 and may had "let down" some fans of the original show, as suggested by E! News.
