Box office animation hit "Hotel Transylvania" is on its way to creating a third franchise, and despite its long-shot premiere date in 2018, the film is already making huge changes that may or may not affect the franchise. Now, director Genndy Tartakovsky confirms that he would exit the movie production.

Talking to The Wrap, famed animator and "Hotel Transylvania" director Tartakovsky has spoken about his previous struggle in making the "Hotel Transylvania" films. According to him, he had competing creative ideas with star and producer Adam Sandler and confirmed that he would exit the film for its third franchise.

"'Hotel Transylvania 3' is going to happen without me," Tartakovsky confirmed to The Wrap. "Two is enough. I have a lot of other ideas, and I kind of have to express them and have them come out," he adds.

Apparently, money isn't the issue for the famed Russian-born American animator, despite "Hotel Transylvania 2" garnering $200 million gross revenue domestically, and $48 million in its opening weekend, per Screen Rant.

The sudden exit apparently roots from Tartakovsky's creative competition with Sandler, who also stars in the movie voicing the character Dracula. "Adam is very, very funny — whenever he is in the room everyone is laughing," Tartakovsky told The Wrap.

"The other side of it is, animation is my life and my industry, and for Adam to come from a live-action perspective, sometimes those two things don't meet. Sometimes it's challenging, and I'm always looking for humor from a physical side, but sometimes his humor leans more to the vocal side of things. It's part of being a director," he explained.

As of the moment, there is still no official statement from Sandler. However, Screen Rant reports that the "Hotel Transylvania 3" is still a go despite the previous announcement of Tartakovsky being out of the picture.

The film will reportedly premiere on Sept. 21, 2018 in the U.S. and will star Sandler, Kevin James, Selena Gomez, Steve Buscemi and David Spade. However, it is still unknown as to who will replace the veteran animator and director and if the film will be affected by it.

"Hotel Transylvania 2" is already considered as the biggest September theatrical opening of all time, Screen Rant reports. The film is written by Sandler and Robert Smigel about a monster family in their journey through life and making people laugh.
