After his recent split from Katy Perry, John Mayer is now reportedly suing Charlie Sheen's friend and a watch dealer over a fake Rolex watch.

The "Your Body Is a Wonderland" singer, who apparently is a watch collector, spent a total of $5 million on what he believed to be a vintage Rolex watch from Robert Maron back in 2007.

However, Mayer discovered that his timepiece was not authentic after he sent it back to get it repaired in 2010. He then returned the watch and was given credit to buy another one. In addition to the Rolex watch, the singer also bought multiple watches from the same dealer. As a result, John Mayer is said to be looking for a refund on $656,000 on seven other pieces he purchased that were claimed to be counterfeit.

Robert Maron has long been a friend of Sheen, and once worked for him as his "media adviser." So what does the Anger Management actor have to say to all this? "Wait! Mayer spent $5M with Maron and is crying about $600K? Ask him how he did on the $4.4M," he said. "Sorry that 7 of your 100 watches aren't to your liking! Boohoo!"

"Maron wrote the book - period, the end. Nothing but respect for Bob - his integrity is beyond reproach!" he added. "This calamity of buyer's remorse 7 years after the fact is clearly a reflection on John Mayer's character and non on Bob Maron's."

Charlie Sheen also took Twitter to fire back at Mayer's fake Rolex claim: "Mr Mayer needs to park that milk toast girlie drivel calls muzak & leave the Patek/Rolex prowess to the best watch expert alive c."
