After a long time of speculations and hidden details, the highly anticipated J.K. Rowling written film, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," has recently revealed a few more details including the plot, which several fans hope to be directly connected with the "Harry Potter" franchise.

Unfortunately, according to Screen Rant, it has been confirmed that the film will be more of a spinoff rather than a prequel to the gigantic "Harry Potter" movie series. Recent reports from Entertainment Weekly reveal that just "Harry Potter," the film also tells the magical journey of a wizard, Newt Scamander, played by Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne.

Redmayne's character will be traveling to New York, and he will bring with him a very interesting case that contains magical devices with several endangered and rare magical creatures inside.

However, the plot released by the publication is still lacking some details for fans to have a clear picture of what to expect by 2016.

Entertainment Weekly further reveals that in the film, Scamander will discover a community of Muggles called "No-Maj," which he may or may not be giving aid to as there is a grave threat to keep the magical secrecy from being exposed to the community.

The plot will circulate on the case of Scamander, which will pose a grave threat when some magical creatures escape from it and roam the U.S., EW reports.

Screen Rant further speculates that "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" may also be connecting its stories and some other characters to the "Harry Potter" film, although Rowling has announced that this is a new film and not a prequel.

"Although it will be set in the worldwide community of witches and wizards where I was so happy for seventeen years, 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, but an extension of the wizarding world," Rowling previously said in a statement via Facebook.

Rowling continued, "The laws and customs of the hidden magical society will be familiar to anyone who has read the Harry Potter books or seen the films, but Newt's story will start in New York, seventy years before Harry's gets underway."

"I always said that I would only revisit the wizarding world if I had an idea that I was really excited about and this is it," Rowling added.
