As the unveiling of HTC 's new phone is only days away, HTC still has yet to confirm or deny any of the rumors surrounding the follow up device to last year's HTC One, which earned the "Smartphone of the Year" accolade at Mobile World Congress in Spain last month.

However, Engadget is reporting that after obtaining a leaked press release by "Carphone Warehouse," the HTC One 2 will be available for sale minutes after HTC's press conference in New York and London on March 25.

The new smartphone, codenamed M8, was initially rumored to not be available to consumers until two weeks after next week's unveiling.

Engadget, reported that six locations in London would have the phone for sale just minutes after the Taiwan-based smartphone manufacturer unveils their latest product.

While the press release allegedly said only London retailers would get the device and didn't mention anything in the U.S., Phandroid reported that Verizon Wireless stores across the nation have been receiving the marketing kit for the new HTC One.

The Verizon poster, which was photographed by an anonymous tipster, reveals the back of the anticipated device. The front of the device is also shown but is covered with the new pinhole case, lending credence to the rumor of the phone's case from earlier this month.

One source told the publication Droid Life that Verizon would be exclusive carrier of the new mobile device upon its March 25 launch. Other retailers in the U.S. will get to sell the new phone in April.

An alternate source also told Droid Life that Verizon would start selling the phone "either on the 25th or the 26th," with the price starting at $199 for two-year contracts.

The phone's pinhole case is rumored to have also arrived at Verizon stores in seven different colors and will be marked for $49.99, according to Droid Life.
