In an all new episode of "Rosewood" Wednesday night, Dr. Beaumont Rosewood (Morris Chestnut) will face his own father in court.

"Will Dr. Rosewood be able to testify against his own father tomorrow?" reads a caption on the show's Facebook page.

In Episode 7 of Season 1, titled "Quadriplegia and Quality Time," Dr. Rosewood and his father are expert witnesses for the prosecution and for the defense, respectively. Who will win the case? So far, Rosewood has proven himself with a solid track record and has been dubbed the top pathologist in Miami. Will he wipe the floor with his own father?

Meanwhile, Beaumont Sr. (Vondie Curtis-Hall) will run into some unforeseen consequences, while Donna (Lorraine Toussaint) will make a surprise announcement.

In the last episode, Rosewood and Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz) worked together to prove the innocence of a close friend who was the prime suspect in his ex-wife's murder. Coming together for that case helped the two repair their relationship. Will Villa and Rosewood remain good friends from now on?

At the start of the season, the pair did not get along because Villa wanted to work on her cases alone, since she's a detective and Rosewood is just a doctor. But as she has witnessed his ability to solve any case, she has learned to trust him.

Chestnut spent 25 years in the entertainment industry before landing a star role on network television.

"I have matured in the industry; I'm a better actor. You want people to identify you in some type of way - that's how you get opportunities," he told Buzzfeed about his big gig back in October.

He added that he hopes the show becomes successful so that his role as a black doctor on prime time television will "open the doors for other people."

Tune into Fox on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. to catch all new episodes of "Rosewood."
