Nike is scheduled to release a special collection this weekend -- the Doernbecher Freestyle 2015 Collection.

The Nike Doernbecher Freestyle 2015 Collection features six specially designed sneakers, including unique editions of the LeBron 13 and the Air Jordan 13 Retro. These shoes were designed by six kids from the Doernbecher Children's Hospital, who want to inspire people with their stories of survival.

The LeBron 13 "Doernbecher" was designed by Kian Safholm, an 11-year-old kid who has underwent three surgeries after a staph infection spread throughout his body and heart. This edition features a black-based upper part with sunrise-like panel along with a customized lion logo.

According to Nike, Safholm, who is a Cleveland Cavaliers fan, made the shoe to pay tribute to LeBron James for inspiring him to keep on fighting.

"Kian's custom LEBRON XIII is a tribute to King James himself, who inspired Kian to remain courageous and keep up his fight," Nike noted. "Since LeBron is said to have the heart of a lion, Kian chose colors that represent sunrise on the savanna, where lions roam. LeBron's signature makes an appearance, as does a stylized lion logo."

The LeBron 13 "Doernbecher" edition will be available on Saturday with retail price set at $200 for men's sizes and $160 for GS sizes. The special edition LeBron Hat will be sold for $35, while the special edition Nike Tee will be available for $30 each.

Aside from the special colorway of the latest signature shoe of James, Nike will also release a new colorway of the Air Jordan 13 Retro. This edition was designed by John Charles, an 11-year-old kid who is suffering from Crohn's disease. It has unique features related to his battle with the disease.

"Designing his signature AIR JORDAN XIII RETRO was a chance for John to share his unique skills with the world," Nike noted. "His sneaker features his soccer number, a cartoon kid with a raised brow and those seven pills to represent the medicine he takes to manage the disease."

The Air Jordan 13 Retro "Doernbecher" will be released in men's sizes for $225 and GS sizes for $180 per pair. The Jordan Hat will be sold for $35, while the Nike AW77 Full-Zip Hoodie will be available for $80.

Aside from the new LeBron 13 and Air Jordan 13 Retro, a Women's Nike Free TR5, Women's Nike Air Max 90, Nike Air Max 95 and Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski are also included in the Doernbecher Freestyle 2015 Collection. More details and photos are available on this link.
