One of the rumors continuously circulating online about Samsung Galaxy S7 specs is that its variants will each use a different processor. Recently, GeekSnack revealed that tech enthusiasts may choose the Exynos processor over Qualcomm Snapdagon.

According to the post, the Exynos 8890 SoC was able to acquire "record-breaking" scores from popular benchmark applications such as Antutu and GeekBench. These results can possibly be the reason for tech fans to prefer the Exynos chipset more than the Snapdragon for the Samsung Galaxy S7.

However, accurate performance comparison can still not be made unless the Samsung Galaxy S7 units are already released and experts and enthusiasts can already see how the chipsets actually work on the smartphone. Furthermore, the post noted that the Exynos 8890 chipset will not be used for the US and China variants of the Samsung Galaxy S7.

As for the Samsung Galaxy S7 release date, most reports are citing the possibility of an earlier release, compared to the usual launch schedule of its predecessors, which is March 2016. If rumors are true, the tech industry will be able to see the release of the Galaxy S7 as early as January 2016.

Latin Post previously reported the rumored specs for the Samsung Galaxy S7. The latest news suggested that the upcoming smartphone might get a new camera technology called Britecell.

Citing ValueWalk, it noted that the Britecell technology will offer better light sensitivity especially when shooting in low-light conditions. It also provides less distortion in the photos and reductions in color fuzziness.

As for more specs, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will reportedly feature a 4K display. In addition to the standard Samsung Galaxy S7, which will bear the model number SM-G930, there will also be Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935A).

Patterned to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, the S7 Edge is expected to have a curved glass display. To give readers an idea of the differences of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, watch this video posted by Android Authority on Youtube:
