Trevor Noah reflected on Thursday upon how much he has had to speak about mass shootings in America In just the first two months of his term at the helm of "The Daily Show."

In his opening segment of the show, Noah found a unique way to examine the recent mass shooting in San Bernardino, California.

"I sometimes wonder why we don't wait to say things," Noah said. "I've only been here a little over two months and somehow, strangely enough, this is not the first time I've had to speak about these things and I still don't know what to say."

Noah used the frequency of his own comments as a way to segue into how President Barack Obama has responded each time there has been a mass shooting in the U.S.

"There's another man who is half back, half white, who has had to speak out every time this happens. He's been doing this for 6 years," Noah said, accompanied by a graphic of Obama.

The show then played a series of clips from news archives over the past 6 years, all showing Obama speaking at various conferences and interviews about shootings, stringing together various speeches in which the president cited the need for something to be done about the plague of gun violence in the country, especially common sense gun control laws.

The clips also starkly contrasted the comments with the physical toll the job has taken on Obama. Noah showed the difference using "then and now" graphics displaying two pictures of Obama side-by-side.

Noah admitted that he felt bad for Obama because, after 6 years of mass shootings and constant decrees for gun control, the only major change that has occurred was to his face, which clearly showed that he has seemed to age incredibly quickly.

The host then showed "then and now" pictures of Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell, who has not seemed to have aged one day since 2009.

"He's barely aged in the past six years -- And all he's had to do about mass shootings is take no steps whatsoever," Noah said. He then joked that the secret to infinite youth was congressional inaction.
