It appears that Motorola is beginning tests for the Moto X (2013), with some Android 5.1 Lollipop OTA update notifications already going out in some testing grounds.
Owners of the 2nd-generation Motorola Moto X on AT&T's network can finally count themselves among those with the latest version of Google's Android operating system. That's right folks, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop is rolling out.
Fall is upon us, and while Apple has it's brand new iOS 8 roaming out and about, Google's next-generation mobile operating system, Android 5.0 Lollipop is still rearing to launch. The new OS will end up debuting with Google's new devices, the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9, but those using Motorola handsets shouldn't have to wait long either.
Google is not averse to taking risks, but it's also a company that has to make a profit. That's why Google surprisingly put in a bid to buy cellphone company Motorola Mobility in the summer of 2011, and also why it is selling it now.
