Jim Parsons, who plays the role of Dr. Sheldon Lee Cooper in "The Big Bang Theory," might be leaving the long-running comedy show. 

According to Gamenguide, Jim Parsons will leave the "The Big Bang Theory" even though the sitcom will be renewed for Season 11 due to the comedian's hectic scheduled. Jim Parsons will work on the new show with his longtime partner Todd Spiewak,  Alex McAulay, who wrote the pilot episode of the new series, and Eric Norsoph. 

Though his character became the show's selling feature in "The Big Bang Theory," he may unlikely be seen on the series' eleventh season run since he is set to focus on a sitcom titled "Lance 2.0" with his boyfriend Todd Spiewak. "Lance 2.0" revolves around a young couple who meets an accident and face tragedy. Due to the accident, the boyfriend's personality will take a new turn and twist causing him his undisciplined nature.

According to Metro, Jim Parsons plays a major role in multiple shows in different networks. The 43-year-old "The Big Bang Theory" actor has an impressive CV, not just as an artist in front of the camera but also a brain behind the scenes.

In "The Big Bang Theory," he plays Dr. Sheldon Lee Cooper who finished his degree as a physicist at the age of 16. The comedy plot behind "The Big Bang Theory" is the pride he has over his superior intellectual ability.  

Furthermore, Jim Parsons is  behind "The Monarchy Is Going To Sh*t," which is a story about the Monarchy of Andova. The plot revolves around the son and daughter of the king over the throne. Apart from this, he's also an executive producer of ABC's "Lakeview V.A" and CW's "The Terranauts."
