Apple's next installment in its iPhone segment is reportedly is not far away to see the lights of day. Since its first ever insight, the upcoming handset has been a part of ample speculations. The latest news which ahs been making rounds among tech fans for a few days is about its front interface. As per potential sources, Apple is replacing its traditional home button from its iPhone 8 with a dedicated touchpad, much akin to that of the one seen in the latest version of MacBook.

According to Techno Buffalo, well-known tech analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently stated that the upcoming smartphone will feature a 'function key' which will be the newest addition equipped by Apple in its range of iPhone lineups. Possibly this reported function key would sport a range of virtual buttons lined up in a swappable row, similar to the Touchbar of MacBook released in the last year. Moreover, iPhone 8 is said to come with Apple's very own TouchID technology to ensure biometric security on the handset.

As per a report by EDMTunes, iPhone 8's debut will coincide with the official launch of iPhone 7S. The later one is also reported to have no physical buttons but only virtual switches which can be activated only by applying touch feeling. The company has already been seen to equip edge-to-edge display in its various devices which were launched in most recent past. Apple has been now also reported to add up a similar front panel in its next iPhone, which would flaunt less body and more display screen. The smartphone is also said to be made as a handy device with a little less size panel than its predecessor, iPhone 7.

There are still confusions witnessed among many sources about the handset's codename. Some said that it would be only called as iPhone 8. Others have claimed that the smartphone would be called by a unique name. However, the fans would require waiting for a while to know more until the company announces any further developments on the said smartphone.
