Pamela Anderson has filed for divorce from husband Rick Salomon for the third time in the last eight years.

TMZ reports the former "Baywatch" star split from Salomon on Tuesday and within 24 hours had formally filed for divorce.

Anderson and Salomon were first wedded in 2007, but annulled that union after just two months. They remarried in 2014, but six months later Anderson again filed for divorce. The 47-year-old Anderson eventually called off those proceedings, but the couple now again find themselves at the same place.

In her filing, Anderson is reportedly seeking spousal support.

The British Columbian-born Anderson is also known for her roles on such TV shows as "Home Improvement" and "V.I.P." She has also been regularly featured in Playboy Magazine and as a Playmate of the Month. In all, Anderson's Playboy career spans more than two decades and she has appeared on more covers than anyone in the magazine's history. Anderson wrote the foreword for the magazine's coffee table book "Playboy's Greatest Covers. ."

Anderson has also been married to Motley Crue rocker Tommy Lee and is an active animal rights activist, regularly standing front and center in demonstrations waged by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. A sex tape she and Lee made during their honeymoon was stolen from their home in 1995 and sold over the internet. Anderson later sued the Internet Entertainment Group that marketed the film and the couple ultimately entered into a confidential settlement agreement with the company.

Nearly nine years ago, Anderson was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame. The 47-year-old Salomon is perhaps best known for the "One Night in Paris" sex tape he co-starred in with Paris Hilton. Salomon has also previously been married to actresses Shannen Doherty and Elizabeth Daily.

Anderson's acting credits also include "Raw Justice," "Borat," "Barb Wire," "Scary Movie 3," and "Hollywood & Wine."
