Following her recent split from Patrick Schwarzenegger, Miley Cyrus has reportedly been spending time with her ex-fiancé, Liam Hemsworth.

The pop star and the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver officially called it quits after a short five-month romance. Cyrus' ex-boyfriend was notoriously photographed doing body shots off ex-girlfriend Taylor Burns during spring break in Cabo.

A source told HollywoodLife.com that Cyrus ended the relationship because the singer no longer wanted to waste time on anyone who did not appreciate her and was not equally committed. She supposedly learned this lesson from Hemsworth.

"Miley felt that Patrick didn't really appreciate her and so she ended things with him," the source added. "Overall, she's just disappointed, because she really did like Patrick."

With that being said, the "We Can't Stop" singer has reportedly been leaning on the Australian actor lately.

A source told the New York Daily News' Confidenti@l that Hemsworth still has feelings for Miley and that the two have been communicating through text messages recently.

Another source alleged that the two, who ended their engagement back in May 2012, were spotted "hanging out" at Soho House in West Hollywood on Friday night. It appeared as though they were on a date.

OK! magazine similarly reported that Hemsworth has been supporting Cyrus, and the two are in communications every night.

"Liam told Miley he'd always be there for her, no matter what," a source said. "He was enraged at how she's been treated [by Schwarzenegger]."

Not only the "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker has the support of "The Hunger Games" star, but also of his family.

"His family is all behind her," the source added. "They still have a special place in their hearts for her, and they all just want to see her happy."
