The hit CBS Sunday night drama "Madam Secretary" has added another name from its producers list onto the cast list. Eric Stoltz, who also serves as an executive producer on the political drama series, has been cast on the show as Secretary McCord's (Tea Leoni) brother for the show's sophomore run, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The show has been making several big name additions to the cast lately for its second season, but Stoltz will stand out from the rest with a role as her flimsy brother who had previously always been at odds with his sister for one reason or another.

His character is an adventurer who comes to town and shakes up her world when he arrives. He is not just an adventurer but a lifelong risk taker, which is something she has always been at odds with him about. It is directly the opposite of who she is, and now that she is so heavily in the limelight for the fictional universe, it is quite possible that his appearance can cause her some undue stress, knowing he will likely make waves for her career.

Stoltz is a veteran of the Hollywood blockbuster genre, starring in films as both a teen and an adult. His hits include "Some Kind of Wonderful," "Mask" and "The Butterfly Effect." He was also the original Marty McFly before the part got recast to Michael J. Fox in "Back to the Future."

His character is likely to be cast as recurring throughout the season and quite possibly the entire series.

Stoltz was not the first person to step out from behind the camera and appear on the show. Morgan Freeman, who is also an executive producer for the series, will be playing the role of a Supreme Court Justice. They will both be joined by Madeleine Albright, who will appear on the show as herself.
