GOP hopeful Donald Trump visited "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" on Tuesday telling the talk-show host that he will make the Mexican president pay for a wall that would cost no more than $7 billion.

"We are going to build a wall. You are going to pay for the wall. We have been abused for a very long time," Trump says in the interview, playing out a mock conversation he will have with the president of Mexico should he win the ticket to the oval office.

"We have to have a wall, we have to have a border and in that wall will have a big fat beautiful door where people can come in. But they have to come in legally," Trump tells Colbert.

The billionaire is known for his far right views on immigration where he vows to deport 11 million undocumented immigrants. At the end of the show Colbert called him the "leader of the Republican nomination."

Trump went on to compare the wall he wants built on the U.S.-Mexico border to "The Great Wall of China," stating that the border wall will be less than half as long and very easy to make.

"Nobody comes in unless they have their papers and we stop crime, and we stop drug trade which is massive," Trump said. "The cartels are pouring through just like it's nothing ... The money goes out, the drugs come in and we're going to stop that."

Colbert had to ask the GOP hopeful what he thought about President Barack Obama's birth certificate release showing that he was born on U.S. soil.

"I don't talk about it anymore. I talk about jobs. I talk about our veterans being horribly treated," Trump said adding that veterans are treated like "third-class citizens" and "worse than the illegals."

Meanwhile, Trump says he wants to be president not because he "wants to" but because he could do a great job at bringing the country back. He compared the U.S. debt to that of Greece and he is determined to fix it.

The GOP hopeful is running a self-funded campaign and vows to create jobs, lower the country's debt and to build a "non-penetrable" wall across the border to keep undocumented immigrants out.
