The Minnesota Vikings are fighting for their playoff lives at 9-5. Fortunately for the Vikings, some good news has come in for the weekend. According to numerous reports, Adrian Peterson is listed as "probable" against New York Giants.

Peterson leads the NFL in rushing yards (yet again) with 1,314 this season. Peterson also has an impressive nine touchdowns so far. Peterson has been dealing with an ankle injury, and it does appear to be effecting him on the field lately. After another amazing start to the season, Peterson has slowed down a bit recently. Peterson has just 150 rushing yards and one touchdown over the course of the last three games. The Giants run defense ranks 21st overall in the league, so Peterson could very well be poised to break out of his slump.

The Vikings are currently the No. 6 seed in the NFC, good enough for the second wild card spot.
