Former WWE World Heavyweight champion Daniel Bryan may be finally getting the final answer regarding his future with the WWE. According to PWInsider, Bryan is scheduled to visit WWE's head doctor Joseph Maroon in his clinic at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

It should be noted that the 34-year-old grappler is also scheduled to appear at a "World of Wheels" event on Jan. 22 in the same location. That event is two days before the Royal Rumble, which means he has enough time to make it to Orlando where the Road to WrestleMania 32 begins.

PWInsider adds that Dr. Maroon and Bryan will be meeting to find a solution on the latter's health issues as the doctor won't clear him to wrestle again. The leader of the "YES" movement was forced to vacate his Intercontinental title in April due to concussion symptoms and his future has been in question ever since.

In an interview with IGN last year, Bryan reveals that he has been cleared by his personal doctor, a doctor for the Arizona Cardinals. However, WWE wants him to visit another doctor to determine his future but there is no word on the results or if both parties indeed consulted a third doctor.

"One neurologist who specializes in concussions, who was the neurologist for the Super Bowl last year cleared me with no limitations. All my testing came back excellent. But the WWE's medical doctor is skeptical, because of my history of concussions and that sort of thing. So they will not clear me," Bryan said.

The 34-year-old later said during a promotional tour in Asia that WWE offered him various roles in television and inside the company. Bryan added that he is open to leaving WWE and return in the independent circuit if he will not be cleared to wrestle.

In a report by FanSided, if Bryan is cleared to get back inside the ring, he may be a surprise entrant at the Royal Rumble on Sunday. But the WWE may be worried about his inclusion, especially after the crowd's reactions from the previous two Rumble matches.

Back in 2014 when Batista won the Rumble, he was booed out of the building because the crowd wanted Bryan to win and participate in the match. It led to a lot of changes that culminated with Bryan winning the WWE World Heavyweight championship at WrestleMania 31.

Roman Reigns was also booed loudly in last year's event at Philadelphia and pretty much the whole night because Bryan was quickly eliminated in the Rumble match. It delayed WWE's plan of elevating Reigns as the top superstar and the next face of the company.

The WWE is in a very interesting and critical situation right now with the WWE title picture, the Road to WrestleMania 32 and injuries of main event stars.
