Andy Murray, Stan Wawrinka, David Ferrer and Lleyton Hewitt headline the list of players who will see action in Day 4 of the 2016 Australian Open in Melbourne, Australia.

Murray, who is still looking to win his first Australian Open title, will continue his chase for the elusive Grand Slam, when he collides with unseeded Sam Groth of Australia in the second round.

The second-seeded Briton, who has reached the Australian Open final four times in his career but has never won the title, kicked off his campaign on a high note, cruising to a 6-1, 6-2, 6-3 win against Alexander Zverev of Germany.

Murray will be a heavy favorite heading into his match against Groth, who needed four sets to eliminate Adrian Mannarino of France in the first round. The second-ranked player in the world believes he has no room for complacency because Groth is playing well and will enjoy home-court advantage on Thursday.

"Obviously he will have the crowd behind him, as well. He's a competitive guy, too," Murray said of Groth. "Fights extremely hard. Has a great attitude. He will make it tough for me because he has a different game style to a lot of the players now."

Meanwhile, Wawrinka, who won the tournament in 2014, will also see action on Thursday against Radek Stepanek of Czech Republic at Hisense Arena.

The fourth-seeded Swiss is coming off a first-round win against Dmitry Tursunov, who retired in the third set of their match. The 37-year-old Stepanek booked a spot in the second round with a 6-4, 6-3, 6-7 (5-7), 6-2 victory against Tatsuma Ito of Japan.

On the other hand, David Ferrer of Spain will face hometown bet Lleyton Hewitt at Rod Laver Arena, which is expected to be the most-watched game of Day 4.

Ferrer won against Peter Gojowczyk of Germany in straight sets in the first round, while Hewitt also needed just three sets to dispatch fellow Australian James Duckworth.

Hewitt, who is playing in the Australian Open of his career, knows he is facing a tough opponent on Thursday but believes he has a good chance of pulling off an upset against his eight-seeded foe.

"I give myself a fighting chance," Hewitt said. "It's going to be tough, I know that. But I feel like I'm hitting the ball well enough to go out there and give him a good run."
