Details for the second annual "Fiesta de la Flor," a festival honoring the life and legacy of the late Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla, have been announced.

On Tuesday Feb. 2, the Corpus Christi Convention & Visitors Bureau and Q Productions, the entertainment company owned by the Quintanilla family, made the announcement on the festival's official website.

The two-day festival, to be held at the North Bayfront Park on May 6 and 7, will expand to the American Bank Center and Art Museum of South Texas.

"We are excited about the expanded footprint and elements that have been added to enhance the visitor experience at this year's 'Fiesta de la Flor,'" said Paulette Kluge, the CEO of the Corpus Christi Convention & Visitors Bureau, in a statement.

"We look forward to another successful event that celebrates our beautiful Selena and to welcoming visitors from all over the world again in 2016."

According to the Corpus Cristi Caller-Times, Quintanilla's widower, Chris Perez, explained that expanding the festival reflects the star's legacy.

"[The expansion] is a testament to Selena's legacy, her music and how it affected the world," he said. "Everybody is there for one reason, and it's to celebrate Selena."

This year, over 70,000 fans are expected to attend the festival, which brought over $13 million dollars to Corpus Christi last year.

Along with a variety of foods and activities, the festival will include several musical acts.

Scheduled to perform on May 6 are new and current artists like Isabel Marie Sanchez, Pete Astudillo, Erick y Su Grupo Massore and Ramon Ayala.

On May 7, performers will include Sanchez, Clarissa Serna, Jorge Moreno, David Lee Garza, Elida Reyna y Avante, Fito Olivares, Ruben Ramos and La Mafia. There will also be a special performance by Perez.

Tickets for the festival, already on sale, come at two very affordable prices, with fans paying $10 for a single day or $15 for two days.
