Petra will finally give birth to twins in the next episode of "Jane the Virgin," which is set to be released Monday, March 7, 2016.

Petra's Having Twins

In an interview, Yael Grobglas opened up about how motherhood will change her character Petra's relationship with her former arch nemesis, Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez). Although Petra and Jane have bumped heads in the past when they were both in love with Rafael (Justin Baldoni), the two will put their issues aside when Petra goes into labor.

"Rafael is late so Jane steps in and is really there for Petra while she is giving birth," Grobglas said. "Petra has worked really hard to have a guard up because of what she's gone through and becoming a mom is forcing her to be real and accept help from Jane."

As a result, the two young mothers will begin to form a sisterly bond.

"It's been amazing to see Jane and Petra's relationship grow," added the 31-year-old actress.

Groblas went on to talk about how her character has evolved over the course of the show.

"Petra has grown from being just a villain to being a really nuanced character. And now that Petra is going to be a mom, the viewers are going to get to see a completely new side of her," the actress said.

New Guest Stars

In addition, "The Returned" star Mat Vairo will make his debut on the show as Rafael's stepbrother, Derek. Derek is described as a devilish, spoiled, rich and mysterious person who decided to drop out of Pepperdine in order to travel and spend money. According to executive producer Jennie Urman, Derek will stir things up in Rafael's life when he comes to town.

"He's definitely going to complicate Rafael's life, even though Rafael's somebody who really does search and yearn for this sense of family," she said. "So he's definitely going to be interested in figuring out if he can have a relationship with his brother."

Meanwhile, "The Blacklist" actress Ana de la Reguera will be introduced as de la Vega's newest assistant, Paola. She will appear in a three episode arch this season, and before her exit, her mysterious past will be revealed.
