Fans were excited to get their much anticipated "Gilmore Girls" reboot. However, it ended too soon. But there might be more episodes in talks waiting for a release.

According to Perez Hilton, last year in November Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel returned as the iconic mother-daughter duo for "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life". The reboot came as web television series on Netflix.

It was termed as a sequel to the famous comedy-drama "Gilmore Girls", which ran from 2000 to 2007 on The WB and The CW. The reboot, however, consisted of only four episodes. They were 88 to 102-minute episodes, named "Winter", "Spring", "Summer", and "Fall".

As per BBC, Netflix's Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos has recently revealed that more "Gilmore Girls" episodes may be on the way. Sarandos further added that there are in fact some talks going on about the future of "Gilmore Girls", but the discussion is "very preliminary" as of now.

"We hope (it happens)," BBC quoted Sarandos. "We obviously loved the success of the show, fans loved how well it was done; it delivered what they hoped."

He added that now people are now excited for more. Fans want more than four episodes thus Netflix has been discussing the possibility of it happening with "Gilmore Girls" creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Dan Palladino.

Even Amy hinted back in December that it is not in her nature to rule things out of her life completely. When the original "Gilmore Girls" ended in 2007, many were talking about a "Gilmore Girls" movie.

Although Amy was not sure about a movie reboot but she did not deny a return of "Gilmore Girls" completely. Fans are now hoping that more episodes of "Gilmore Girls" might happen soon since everybody involved seems to be interested in the idea.
