A day before all of the Democratic Party's presidential candidates will meet in Westchester for their 6th debate; they had scheduled a meeting with the elected officials in Los Angeles for a discussion regarding the options for Latino health care.

The Democratic National Committee's chairman, Tom Perez, Los Angeles' Mayor, Eric Garcetti, D-Los Angeles Assembly personnel Wendy Carillo, and the health care leaders of California had centered their meeting on what they perceive as threats to the federal health care offered to immigrants in the country and the Latino health care, including those who are in the country through illegal means.

The conference was arranged by the Democratic Party to discuss policies and create plans to improve the federal health care services provided to the Latino community.

According to Garcetti, the focus of the conference was to identify ways to save many lives. He also said some people are dying from diseases like cancer. Some of them are scared to go to medical centers because of their immigration status in the country. Some are homeless and some believe that they are not part of the beneficiaries of the health care system in their area.

Mayor Garcetti said that it is also beneficial to have more Latino medical professionals to create a more diverse connection in the field of medicine. There are fewer doctors of Latino origin compared to the statistics from 1980 according to the health care industry representatives who attended the meeting.

According to Perez, with a high rate of diversity in the health care sector of the country, more diversified people will be enticed to access the federal health care sector. This will also serve as a motivation and inspiration for the diversified youth in the country to enter the field of medicine.

Perez also said that the insufficiency of a diversified health care industry is one of the major reasons for the racism and inequality in the health care sector of the country. He also said that professionals in the health care sector from a diversified background are highly likely to serve communities from different backgrounds as well.

According to Perez, he was happy for the long-term solutions suggested by the professionals in the medical field to entice the youth to enter a medical career and its future help to the Latino health care in the country.

In October this year, US President Donald Trump had released an executive order involving the protection of Medicare coverage. However, according to some experts, the move may cause additional expenses for patients. Trump answered those critics by saying that his executive order will be advantageous to the health care sector of the United States.

According to a statement by Donald Trump, his leadership will continue and improve the Medicare program of the country instead of ending it.

According to Garcetti, the changes proposed by the administration of Donald Trump to the Medicare program may lead to patients spending more on health care and multiple clinics may lose subsidies from the government. It increases the chances of these clinics to eventually close soon.
