Hispanics surge across the United States making them the largest minority group in the country. They have officially outpaced African-Americans. 

It should be clear first that Hispanics refer to the people of Spanish-speaking in terms of origin or ancestry. Meanwhile, Latinos usually refer to people coming from Latin America. 

Many Hispanics migrated to the United States looking for a greener and brighter future while there are also some Hispanics who are born here. At present, the Latino community make up 16.3 percent of the total population of the country. It is also estimated that there is one Hispanic in every six residents.

10. Illinois
