There were many arguments surrounding the passage of the phase 4 of the coronavirus relief operations after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that the two sides can't agree even on basics.

Republican Florida Senator Rick Scott told Fox News on Sunday that democrats "just want to waste your money" after talks on the phase 4 of coronavirus relief was impeded in the Senate as boosted unemployment benefits expired.

Senate Republicans revealed "HEALS Act" last week. This is their version of fresh round of coronavirus relief.

HEALS Act is a relief package that focuses on Health Economic Assistance, Liability protection and Schools, according to a report.

HEALS Act has a budget over $1 trillion and is the Republican Alternative to the House's Heroes Act.  The Heroes Act is the $3 trillion legislation passed in May and was considered to be the most expensive legislation passed by that body.

Heroes Act includes $915 billion in state and local aid that aims to prevent layoffs of public workers such as first responders and teachers.

Scott said on Sunday that Senate Republicans would like to get something done.

"Let's help those that have lost their jobs, get this economy open. Let's help our small businesses get going again, but unfortunately Democrats, they just want to waste your money," he was quoted in a report.

Scott also said that Democrats now want to spend another $3 trillion on top of the at least trillion that has now been spent.

He added that Democrats want Florida taxpayers to pay for New York or Illinois, or California's prior pension problems.

The Florida senator said this is just a "grab bag" for Democrats to take advantage of a crisis.

Scott went on saying that somebody has to pay for this down the road, adding that he wants to ensure that everybody is being taken care of but he does not want to waste people's money.

Unemployment Benefits

Scott said that the Democrats have no sense or urgency after blocking last week the extension of unemployment benefits at the current level.

They also blocked a proposal to say that they will compensate people at 1/3 their compensation.

U.S. lawmakers have been warned that millions of American will be left without any financial safety nets as Congress and the White House are trying to reach an agreement on a new fiscal stimulus package.

The White House chief of staff Mark Meadows said on Sunday that the two parties are still far from reaching an agreement.

The failure to seal a deal by July 31 has left more than 25 million people in the U.S. are losing access to the extra $600 federal unemployment benefits, according to CBS News report.

CBS News report said that Democrats are aiming for an extension of the $600 in extra aid, however, Republicans want a $200 per week aid.

Michele Evermore, senior policy analyst at the National Employment Law Project estimated that even if lawmakers reach an agreement the following weeks, there would be a gap of at least two weeks until jobless workers get the new aid.

Evermore added that this will affect Bank of America, saying that each week with a gap in jobless aid will shred $18 billion in income from U.S. households.
