The Shield -- Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns -- kicked off "Friday Night Smackdown" discussing their potentially qualifying into the Money In The Bank (MITB) match, which officially will be for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship after The Authority stripped Daniel Bryan of his title as he recovers from neck surgery, before being interrupted by Evolution's Triple H. The WWE COO informed The Shield that there was only one spot available to them for the MITB match and flipped a coin to determine who would represent "the Hounds of Justice." Ambrose won the coin-toss and was slated to face Bray Wyatt in the main event with both The Shield and The Wyatts banned from ringside. Triple H also said he had some bad news for Roman Reigns, scheduling him in a match against WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett.

Roman Reigns defeated "Bad News" Barrett in a non-title match, after 3MB attempted to ambush Reigns. Reigns fought off 3MB despite the odds against him.

Jey Uso, one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, took a loss to Erick Rowan of The Wyatt Family, with The Wyatts inching closer to a title shot at the Usos' championship.

Bo Dallas made a "Bo-Liever" out of R-Truth with Bo-Dog to earn another victory since moving up to the main roster.

Paul Heyman came out to the ring, accompanied by Cesaro, to remind everyone that Brock Lesnar broke The Undertaker's "Wrestlemania" undefeated streak while the newest "Heyman Guy" said he was itching for a fight. WWE United States Champion Sheamus came out and ended up losing to Cesaro, who caught him with a roll-up, in the non-title impromptu match.

Adam Rose and his "Exotic Express" defeated Fandango, who was accompanied by Layla, after hitting with Fandango with the Party Foul finisher. After the match, Summer Rae, hiding as a "Rose Bud," attacked Layla.

Big E Langston came out victorious in his match against Jack Swagger, as Alexander Rusov and Lana looked on and taunted the former Intercontinental Champion.

Alicia Fox defeated Aksana as she continues in her quest for a rematch against WWE Divas Champion Paige.

In a MITB qualifier match to see who will get a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Money In The Bank main event, Bray Wyatt hit Dean Ambrose with Sister Abigail after his former Shield cohort Seth Rollins distracted Ambrose long enough for Bray Wyatt to nail his finisher on Ambrose to end the show.
