Texas rapper Lil Loaded, who was behind the 2019 hit "6locc 6a6y," was found dead at home on Monday, May 31. The Dallas County medical examiner's office confirmed the death of the 20-year-old Texas rapper, whose legal name was Dashawn Robertson, Daily Mail reported.

Lil Loaded faced a manslaughter charge for the shooting death of his 18-year-old friend Khalil Walker in October 2020. According to court records, the Texas rapper was due in court for an admonishment hearing in Dallas on Tuesday, June 1.

Lil Loaded's death adds up to the recent deaths of people from the entertainment industry. It can be recalled that "Tarzan" actor Joe Lara lost his life on May 29 after the plane they were riding to Palm Beach, Florida crashed to a lake in Tennessee.

Lil Loaded Dies by Suicide

The Texas rapper's lawyer, Ashkan Mehryari, said that Lil Loaded died by suicide, NBC News reported. However, an official with the Dallas County medical examiner's office said the cause and manner of his death have yet to be determined.

In an interview with The Dallas Morning News, Stanley Gabart, whose production company worked with Epic Records, said that the Texas rapper's death came as a shock.

"This kid was on a great path," said Gabart, adding that they "wish" they knew what Lil Loaded was experiencing to intervene.

Lil Loaded signed with Epic Records after "6locc 6a6y" went viral on YouTube, with more than 25 million views. Last week, the song was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Mehryari noted that his client's death was "very tragic" and that he did not see it coming.

"He had a very bright and promising music career ahead of him," Mehryari said.

Hours before his death, the Texas rapper posted on Instagram a heartfelt but troubling message. In the Instagram story, Lil Loaded expressed gratitude to God and asked forgiveness to the "most high."

"I ask for entrance into your kingdom thru all of my mistakes I know you love all of your children and I'm ready for my heart and soul to join you," the Texas rapper said.

Lil Loaded's Criminal History

Lil Loaded was initially charged with murder in the killing of Walker but was indicted on the lesser charge last March. The said shooting happened outside Khalil Walker's home located southwest of downtown Dallas, Texas on Oct. 25, 2020.

The Texas rapper allegedly shot Walker in his stomach using a rifle and then drove his friend to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. After 15 days, the Texas rapper allegedly turned himself in to the authorities.

Lil Loaded's lawyer argued that there was no malice during the time of the shooting incident. In April, prosecutors asked for the Texas rapper's bond to be revoked after he tested positive for marijuana. It was a violation of the terms of his pretrial release.
