Pedro Pascal can't hide his excitement as "Dumbo" star Nico Parker joined HBO's series adaptation of "The Last of Us." Parker marks the latest artist to join the HBO adaptation of the PlayStation game, according to a Deadline report.

It can be remembered that Pedro Pascal will be playing the lead role, Joel Miller on "The Last of Us." With the announcement of Parker's entrance on the HBO adaptation, Pascal took to Twitter also announcing the news to his more than 912 thousand followers, saying "Dream Daughter" with the #TLOU.

Nico Parker Joins Pedro Pascal in the HBO adaptation of 'The Last of Us'

Comic Book reported that Nico Parker will play the role of Sarah Miller, the daughter of Pascal's role in the PlayStation game. The outlet furthered that Pascal and Parker will likely be working closely together on the show.

Fans reacted to Pascal's tweet about Parker being added to the cast of the HBO adaptation. One user expressed the excitement through shouting in the thread. Another user said that she can't wait for the series to start. Meanwhile, another user described Pascal and Parker as "LEGENDS."

Apart from Pedro Pascal, Nico Parker will also work with Bella Ramsay, Gabriel Luna, and Merle Dandridge, who were also confirmed to star in HBO's "The Last of Us" series adaptation, Games Radar reported.

Bella Ramsay, Pedro Pascal's co-star in Game of Thrones, will play the role of Ellie. Meanwhile, Gabriel Luna will play Tommy, the younger brother of Pascal's role in the PlayStation game. Merle Dandridge on the other hand will play the role of the "Fireflies" leader, Marlene who led Ellie and Joel to meet each other in the game.

Apart from the announcement of casts in the HBO series, details about the release date of "The Last of Us" were not furthered. However, Games Radar, citing Collider, noted that the beginning of the filming of the HBO adaptation will be in July.

HBO 'The Last of Us' Series Adaptation

Kantemir Baglagov will direct the pilot episode of HBO's "The Last of Us" series adaptation. Meanwhile, Deadline reported that series creator Neil Druckman and "Chernobyl" creator Craig Mazin will write, and executive produce the series adaptation, along with Carolyn Strauss.

Naughty Dog President Evan Wells will also be an executive producer of the HBO adaptation of the game, while Gustavo Santaolalla will score "The Last of Us" series.

HBO's series adaptation of "The Last of Us" would take place 20 years after modern civilization was destroyed. Joel Miller, which will be played by Chilean American actor Pedro Pascal, was a hardened survivor and was hired to smuggle the 14-year-old Ellie out of an oppressive quarantine zone.

In the game version of "The Last of Us," Joel and Ellie will navigate a world that has been destroyed by an infection called "Cordyceps." HBO also revealed that Joel Pascal and Bella Ramsay's role in the series adaptation will traverse a brutal and heartbreaking journey across the U.S.
