Tom Brady's NFL comeback speculations have recently made rounds after the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback seems to be hinting at the possibility.

Speaking with Fred Couples on SiriusXM radio this week, Brady was asked where he was going following his retirement. To that, Brady gave an answer that did not sound like someone who was positive he was done playing football, Inside Hook reported.

"I tell you, I wish I had a clear vision of what the future holds... I think for me, there's a lot of great things and a lot of great opportunities that I know I said right after football season," said Brady, via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht also said this week that they will see what the future holds, adding that they will "always leave the light on for a guy like Tom Brady."

Brady said he is currently spending a lot of time with his family and playing golf, CBS Sports reported.

"So looking forward to that, looking forward to some golf in the next few days and some more family time, and then we'll figure out where we go from there," he noted.

Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arian had a different opinion on Brady's NFL comeback. Arian said Brady made it clear to him that he won't be coming back from retirement.

Tom Brady's NFL Comeback Speculations

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported that the Tampa Bay team is not giving up on Tom Brady. They noted that the team is leaving the door open for Brady in case the former quarterback wants to come out of retirement, according to USA Today.

During Brady's appearance on his Sirius XM podcast, he said to "never say never" when it comes to returning to the NFL.

Retired Patriots receiver Julian Edelman said he would not be surprised if Brady came out of retirement at some point over the coming years. Edelman is known to be best friends with Brady.

However, the Buccaneers will not make life easy for Brady if he ends up wanting to play for another team, according to Fox News.

Bruce Arian was asked if the Buccaneers would accommodate Brady if he wanted to come back from retirement and play for another team. The Buccaneers' coach said: "Nope. Bad business."

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Still Hold Tom Brady's Rights for 2022 Season

If he decides to return, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will still hold Tom Brady's rights for the 2022 season as he has a year remaining on his deal with the team. Brady would count for $9.1 million against the team's salary cap, according to Spotrac.

Bruce Arian was also asked what it would take for Tampa Bay to part with the seven-time Super Bowl champion, to which he answered: "Five No. 1s," Yahoo Sports reported.

Jason Licht noted that the Buccaneers would welcome him back if Brady wants to come back. There were rumors that Brady is returning as a player with the San Francisco 49ers and Miami Dolphins.

Arian earlier said that if Brady wants to come back, the team has "plenty of money for him." Buccaneers are already planning different scenarios to decide who their new team's quarterback will be.

Last month, Tom Brady announced his retirement from the NFL after playing for 22 seasons in the league. He threw for 5,316 passing yards with 43 touchdowns in his final NFL season.
