Prince Harry's mom, Princess Diana, would not have been a fan of his wife, Meghan Markle, if she was alive, according to a royal photographer.

Royal photographer John Swannell told The Daily Mail that he believes Princess Diana would think that Markle has "stolen" Prince Harry and turned him into a "puppet."

Princess Diana personally commissioned Swannell to take what became classic portraits of the princess with her sons. The 75-year-old royal photographer claimed that the Duchess of Sussex had her own "agenda" when she joined the royal family.

Swannell said Markle was a "little-known actress," so when an opportunity came up, "she took it like anybody would." The photographer added that Markle is a "very smart woman," but she is "an operator."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got married in 2018. They decided to step away from their royal duties in 2020 in an effort to avoid media scrutiny and pressures connected to being working royals.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry at Odds With Netflix

Ever since they stepped away from their royal duties, the Sussex couple had released several contents, including a podcast and a documentary.

However, according to MARCA, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are at odds with Netflix over their production deal as they wanted to cut some of the filmed material from their docuseries.

Netflix executives are reportedly pushing to keep the content after their filmmakers' return. Citing a Netflix source, PageSix reported that the couple is having second thoughts "on their own story, on their own project."

Harry and Markle reportedly wanted the show to be released in 2023. However, Netflix wanted to launch it after "The Crown" premieres its fifth season on November 9.

Netflix has paid the couple millions of dollars in a multi-annual production agreement. However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle requested to edit some parts of the show they themselves provided after Queen Elizabeth II's death last month. Many believe it includes several truth bombs around the royal family.

Even though Netflix is standing by the filmmakers, the final decision to edit the docuseries reportedly rests on Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and the Netflix executives.

Sussex Couple and King Charles III

The rift between the Sussex couple and the royal family is far from being healed. Glimpses of the two parties' interactions are fully recorded in books and reports released about them.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl's new book revealed how King Charles III saw Meghan Markle when she and Prince Harry were engaged.

Nicholl wrote in the book that the new monarch reportedly nicknamed Markle "Tungsten" due to her "toughness and resilience." A source once revealed that Charles admires Markle for her strength and the backbone "she gives Harry," Elle reported.

Markle reportedly helped repair Charles and Harry's relationship, and the king had very positive impressions of Markle. Charles also reportedly told friends that Markle was "so intelligent" and "so nice," adding that she makes his son happy.

However, it is unclear if Charles still sees Markle so warmly today after she and Harry decided to step back from their royal roles and move to California.

The couple told Oprah during their March 2021 interview that Charles stopped taking his son's calls after Harry told him about their intention to step back.
