Donald Trump's affair with porn star Stormy Daniels was one of the biggest scandals the former president has ever faced as this happened as Melania was still pregnant with Baron. Now, the Manhattan District Attorney's Office is looking to present the Stormy Daniels Hush Money case to a grand jury.

According to The Guardian, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg will soon be starting to present testimony about the case to a New York grand jury. It will take a look at Donald Trump's efforts to pay off Stormy Daniels shortly before the 2016 presidential elections, which he won.

Manhattan prosecutors have already started contacting officials from Trump's successful 2016 campaign, and this is a sign that they want to corroborate the witness accounts. Phone records from the campaign, as well as other documents that could shed more light on the hush money payments, have also been subpoenaed.

One of the witnesses called in before the grand jury is David Pecker, the former publisher of the National Enquirer tabloid. He was the one who reportedly arranged the hush money payment to Stormy Daniels.

The New York Grand Jury has been convened to explore the possibility of criminal charges against Trump. It is alluded to as the "next chapter" of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's investigation into the former president.

In response to the latest grand jury investigation against him, Donald Trump took to Truth Social to blast Bragg, calling him the "Radical Left Manhattan D.A." Like many of the various cases against him, he also called the grand jury "a continuation of the Greatest Witch Hunt of all time."

He allegedly paid $130,000 to Daniels, as well as another $150,000 to former Playboy model Karen McDougal. He tried buying their silence as Trump ran for president, He also denied having an affair with these women, acccording to the Associated Press.

The conviction of Trump is not a sure thing, as the case hinges on whether or not Trump falsified records to hide the hush money payments to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal. It also relies on the statement of Trump's former lawyer and fixer, Michael Cohen, who admitted to making the payment himself and pleaded guilty to federal charges related to the hush money payment in 2018.

Aside from lambasting Manhattan DA Bragg, Trump also railed against the woman whom he allegedly had an affair with, Stormy Daniels. In his post, the former president called Daniels "Horseface" and said that the Justice Department was weaponized against him.

He then brought up his lawsuit against Daniels, which won, calling the case old news. However, Daniels' lawsuit against Trump was over a defamatory tweet against her, and this investigation is looking into whether or not Trump falsified records to hide the hush money payment to the porn star.

Daniels was forced to pay the former president $300,000 after losing the civil suit. This one, however, may lead to criminal charges against the former president, according to The Daily Mail,

Trump is once again running for the presidency, and has even started lambasting his biggest rival so far, Ron DeSantis. However, he is currently facing multiple investigations, including the January 6 Capitol insurrection.
