An Arizona teen was arrested a few months after his parents were found dead inside their home.

According to Fox 10 Phoenix, the bodies of Chase Stanfield, 39, and Gail Stanfield, 50, were found inside their home in the Whispering Pines neighborhood of Payson on October 27.

The Gila County Sheriff's Office said their 19-year-old son, Hunter Stanfield, was arrested on March 14 for first-degree murder in connection with his parents' deaths.

So far, authorities have not released additional details or a possible motive for the killings. Police said investigations are still ongoing.

Gila County Sheriff Adam Shepherd noted that detectives have been working on this case non-stop "to follow all leads, collect and evaluate all evidence."

"I am thankful to the detectives... This was a time-consuming investigation, and the detective's dedication to the community and justice should be commended," said Shepherd.

Arizona Teen Questioned by Investigators Before Arresting Him

The Gila County Sheriff's Department said the Arizona teen's parents were found dead with multiple gunshot wounds.

The sheriff's department and the Water Wheel Fire Department and Medical responded to the crime scene. Their social media pages showed that the couple was married, AZ Central reported.

The sheriff's department noted that investigators followed several investigative leads and sent evidence for forensic analysis.

Gila County Sheriff's detective Jamie Garrett spoke with Fox News and revealed that the Arizona teen suspect was arrested after he was questioned.

"We did interview Hunter on Tuesday for [approximately] an hour, and after that interview is when he was arrested for the crimes committed against his parents," Garrett said.

Local media reported that the home was not burglarized, and there were no signs of a struggle that could mean the murderer was somebody the couple knew very well.

Arizona Parents Found Dead by a Relative

According to Payson Roundup, Chase Stanfield's sister reportedly went to Stanfield's home at around 11 a.m. on October 27 to check on her brother and his wife after they had not heard from them for some time.

In a statement on Facebook, Haley Ann Frasier Stevens said she discovered the couple dead inside their home.

"I'm sorry to even have to type these words for you to read. Yesterday morning, I went to check on why my brother and his wife who had not responded to communications. I found them both dead," she wrote.

When Stevens arrived, the couple's two dogs were reportedly inside the house and were not injured, while the husband's cat went missing but has since been found.

Gail reportedly worked at Central Arizona Supply, and one person posted on her Facebook that their heart was broken for what happened to "two of the most positive people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing."
