Fulton County DA Fani Willis, who is investigating Donald Trump in his Georgia case, wrote a letter to House Judiciary Committee chair Jim Jordan and slammed him over his lack of knowledge of the law.

Despite not being a lawyer as he never even sat for a Bar exam, Jim Jordan chairs the important House Judiciary Committee. Willis tore into him for displaying his lack of knowledge when he demanded that she turn over all documents related to her RICO case against ex-President Donald Trump and 18 other co-defendants. As Vanity Fair puts it, she all but calls the Trump-aligned Republican congressman a Moron and is suggesting that he should "take a remedial civics course."

In an attempt to play into his MAGA Republican base, Jordan tried to prove that Willis was colluding with the Department of Justice in her investigation and that stated that the Atlanta-based DA was attempting to interfere with the 2024 election."

However, Willis educated Jordan about how investigations worked and pointed out his lack of knowledge regarding Georgia's racketeering statute and the basics of criminal conspiracy law. She also schooled him about what a special grand jury is, explaining that t "a Special Purpose Grand Jury made up of everyday citizens investigated for 10 months and made recommendations to me."

She further explained to him that "a grand jury of completely different Fulton County citizens found probable cause against the defendants named in the indictment for RICO violations and various other felonies"

She then told Jordan to learn up on RICO cases, telling him with some shade, "For a more thorough understanding of Georgia's RICO statute, its application, and similar laws in other states, I encourage you to read "RICO State-by-State." As a non-member of the bar, you can purchase a copy for two hundred forty-nine dollars [$249]."

Willis also pointed out that Jordan, a federal official, is interfering into state matters and told the Republican, "Those who wish to avoid felony charges in Fulton County, Georgia ... should not commit felonies in Fulton County, Georgia."

Jordan argued that Willis' investigation of Trump could "infringe on free speech and other rights" of the former president. However, Willis answered this in her letter too, stating that Jordan's request contained "inaccurate information and misleading statements." She then accused him of inappropriately interfering with a state criminal case for his "personal political gain."

Judge Refuses To Move Donald Trump Georgia Trial To Federal Jurisdiction

Elsewhere in the Donald Trump Georgia case. Mark Meadows tried to move the trial to a federal court. However, he also failed in that regard as a judge ruled that it must stay in Georgia.

According to NBC News, Meadows argued that he participated in the plot to overturn the elections as part of his duties as White House Chief of Staff, therefore should be prosecuted at a federal level and not on a state level. However, US District Judge Steve C. Jones ruled that "Meadows has not shown that the actions that triggered the State's prosecution related to his federal office."

The judge explained his decision, "Meadows' alleged association with post-election activities was not related to his role as White House Chief of Staff or his executive branch authority."
